At San Antonio, Diana Taurasi scored 26 points and Kelly Miller added 20 to lead Phoenix to its sixth consecutive victory. However, the Mercury lost out on a playoff berth when Houston defeated Seattle earlier.

Shannon Johnson scored 28 points, Katie Feenstra had 24 and Shanna Zolman 18 - all season highs - to lead San Antonio (13-21), which nearly doubled its win total - seven - from last season.

Zolman's 3 with 18 seconds left pulled the Silver Stars to 94-91, but Miller hit a free throw 3 seconds later to seal Phoenix's win.
