Rachel Alexandra produces filly for Jackson family
The family of the late Jess Jackson of Geyserville were celebrating Tuesday as their thoroughbred champion mare Rachel Alexandra gave birth to a filly by Bernardini.
The youngster was foaled at the family’s Stonestreet Farm near Lexington, Ky. The bay weighed 140 pounds and is the largest foal born at Stonestreet this year, according to a report by The Blood-Horse magazine.
Rachel Alexandra was voted an Eclipse Award in 2009 after outrunning colts in the Preakness and Woodward Stakes. She also won the Kentucky Oaks.
This was her second foal. Last year, she produced a colt by champion Curlin. The Jackson family also raced Curlin.

Dear the Jackson’s,
I hope Rachel if feeling better after her delivering her new filly. I have some suggestions for her. Since she has a heart on her forehead, i had some ideas.
Show names: Heart n’ Soul, Heavenly Angel, Basha, and Bernica
Thank you for your time!
Alexandra
