You don’t have to live here to be a true Geyservillian
Rand Deircco is a true Geyservillian. On Dec. 6, he is being recognized at the Spirit of Sonoma Awards Luncheon in Rohnert Part at the Double Tree Hotel.
“The Annual Spirit of Sonoma County Award luncheon honors those who contribute to the economic development of the communities
in which they live and work through donations of their time and expertise
in support of local business, and in helping others.”
Dericco exemplifies the definition of the Spirit of Sonoma Award through his many years of contributions in the “ville.” Past President of the Geyserville Chamber of Commerce, Dericco is one of the “dirty hand people” who help define the direction of Geyserville. Working for Syar Industries, Dericco has been on the front line of bridge and river issues concerning Geyserville, and towing his personally designed and built BBQ/smoker to Fall Colors to cook the now famous Tri-Tip Sammies.
Rand Dericco and his son built the chamber a shed in the back corner of the visitors’ parking lot to house the many used items that have been occupying barns and garages all over 95441.
He also has his hands in the Geyserville Chamber of Commerce Harvest Dinner, held yearly at Silver Oak Winery. Rand and Susie Dericco do all of the cooking for this annual, sold out event. His paella is as good as it gets anywhere in the world, according to the world travelers attending the dinner.
Rand Dericco may not live in the “ville,” but his heart does.

A very well deserved award.. So glad to be a part of the celebration tomorrow at the Double Tree.
The Spirit of Sonoma Award luncheon was today and great as ever. I was very happy to honor Rand and the other recipients by attending. Rand is very deserving of the award for his many selfless acts of cooking and building.
Congrats Rand … well deserved!
