Autumn at Dry Creek Peach
Dry Creek Peach has developed a range of farm experience programs to take you through all the seasons and teach you the skills required to reach summer harvest.
Fall will start as the leaves drop with a lesson in pruning, including making a peach pruning wreath to take home.
Mid March and spring is a time of new growth, the orchard is alive with bright pink blossoms, a time to photograph. This program will focus on grafting a variety of peach from one to another, and share a blossom reception with Truett-Hurst Winery just down the road.
Deep into spring is time to thin the excess fruit from the trees. This is a peaceful time to be in the orchards, and everyone will share a light lunch.
Celebrate the harvest in August with an orchard walking tour and a true farm to table meal in the orchard.
Each session is $30 per person. Call 433-8121for information and dates, or visit Visit drycreekpeach.com for more information about Dry Creek Peach and Produce, located at 2179 Yoakim Bridge in Healdsburg.
