State Route 128 Geyserville Bridge project set to begin
The California Department of Transportation will begin construction Monday, Aug. 20, on the Geyserville Bridge on State Highway 128. The project is scheduled to finish Tuesday, Oct. 30, with work continuing 7 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays.
During those hours, traffic will be limited to one lane, with flag crews on both sides of the construction site. A flagger also will be on standby during school hours to help pedestrians in the construction zone. Detour signs will be posted.
Workers will build a retaining wall on the northern end of the Geyserville Bridge to help reduce erosion and prevent damage to the roadway.
Please drive cautiously and slow for the cone zone.
