Count down to A Taste of Alexander Valley

Tuesday, May 15th, 2012 | Posted by | one response

It all starts Friday, May 18th, with the opening celebration party at Lancaster Estate Winery, from 5:30 to 8:00pm. The not-to-be-missed evening under the stars promises to be one of the highlights of the weekend and tickets are limited.

It reads as the who’s who, representatives of the Alexander Valley Winegrowers will be pouring their world class wines for guests to enjoy with savories prepared by local guest chef/owners — Josh Silvers of Jackson’s Bar & Oven and Petite Syrah Bistro; Jeff Mall of Zin Restaurant & Wine Bar; and, Carlo Cavallo of Sonoma Meritage.

On Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20, the Taste Alexander Valley weekend continues with wine tastings and food pairings at over 30 local wineries — running from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.  Each participating winery, from those located in downtown Healdsburg and Geyserville, and all along Highway 128, will offer gourmet foods, paired with their own wines.  Many will incorporate a party theme featuring musical entertainment. Special wine discounts will also be available at select venues.

Weekend passes (valid for both days – 11am to 4pm) are $65 per person in advance and $75 per person the day of event. Tickets for the Friday night Opening Celebration at Lancaster Estate Winery are $105 in advance only and may be purchased with a weekend pass for the best value price of $155, with limited availability. With limited space, the Opening will sell out quickly. All passes and tickets, including Sunday only and designated driver tickets are available at www.alexandervalley.org or www.tastealexandervalley.org by calling 1-888-463-0207.

  1. This is an event that get’s better every year… Our guests love it, especially now that it is in May rather than June… Less compitition with weddings, graduations and father’s day..
