Buckets of Blood Brigade ends, and Geyserville comes in second

Saturday, February 11th, 2012 | Posted by | 6 responses

The Sixth Annual Buckets of Blood Brigade blood drive has ended, and Geyserville has come in second.

The county wide firefighter-supported event lasted four weeks, with all participating fire districts serving firehouse food and giving Buckets of Blood tee shirts to donors.

For a small town, Geyserville sure makes a large statement.

The top five are:

1.  Windsor Fire Protection District — 152 donors, population 26,801
2. Geyserville FPD — 102 donors, population 2377
3. Lakeport Fire Department — 97 donors, population 2863
4. Healdsburg FD — 59 donors, population 11,532
5. Wilmar and CAL Fire Petaluma — 56 donors, greater Petaluma area
